He and the governor have been at odds for years, but he has also been a thorn in the sides of numerous lobbyists and fellow legislators. Is it a natural death or is something underhanded involved? Why wasn't an autopsy ordered? That will come back to haunt someone in this story of political intrigue and scandal. The deceased senator was a do-gooder extraordinaire. But maybe that was only on the outside. Was he always what he appeared to be? Some of the women around the State House have tales to tell.

CORPSE ALONG THE TUCK
The Tuckasegee River, known locally as "The Tuck," goes through the middle of Bryson City, North Carolina, near the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains. Chubbs Langdon, vacationing in the area, spots a body in the river during a popular train excursion that parallels the Tuck on a portion of its trip. Will he be able to locate the body when the train returns to the station? If so, how did it get into the river and why? Will local officials question his involvement and try to thwart his efforts? Foul play is definitely suspected.

Aunt Nellie is the town busybody who writes - anonymously - about everybody and everything. Emma Jo gets a real education from her weird Aunt Nellie in this light-hearted look at their relationship and the rest of the world as seen from around Apple Valley in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
